The Launch of Good Creator
I could not be more pleased to finally announce the launch of Good Creator, my new online professional and commercial development platform for creative practitioners of all disciplines who want to open up new career opportunities, hone their approach and elevate their creative ambitions on their own terms, in their own time, at their own pace.
Currently in BETA, the Good Creator platform is piloting a range of online events, courses, webinars, resources and reading recommendations to support artists and creatives with ambition.
Bringing Good Creator to fruition at BETA stage has taken A LOT of work and time, and I’m keen to share my journey with you. Over the coming months, I’ll be writing a series of posts about the process of its development and sharing the learnings, shortcuts and support routes I found along the way.
In the meantime, it gives me great pleasure to invite you to visit the brand new Good Creator website, which you will see develop further over the coming weeks and months as I start to add more offerings and resources. To get you started, please take a look at the very first offering:
The Sessions
Our very first offering is a FREE ten week series of live webinars called The Sessions. The first series is all about how to build a career in theatre arts and has been created in partnership with The Dukes Theatre in Lancaster.
The Sessions have been created to help emerging and established artists gain direct learning from industry professionals who will be providing real time insights, inspiration and guidance for those looking to develop their career, either on stage or behind the scenes, in theatre arts and live performance.
The first series of The Sessions takes place every Thursday evening online and start on Thursday 16th September, 6pm - 7.30pm, with a session led by performance artist and animator, Edalia Day on Interactive Video Projection in Performance, and ends on 25th November with a session on Theatre Making for Social Change, led by Nathaniel Hall, from Dibby Theatre, who starred in the recent National Television Awards winning Channel 4 drama, 'It's A Sin', written by Russell T Davies. Other sessions in this series include:
Writing for Contemporary Performance: Collaboration & Adaptability with Daniel Bye
An Introduction to Theatre Management with Karen O'Neill (CEO of The Dukes)
Site Specific Performance Installations with Dante or Die
Producing Outdoors with Phil Hargreaves
Creating Theatre for Touring with Steph Connell
Set, Prop and Costume Design with Katie Scott
Music and Composition for Live Performance with Ziad Jabero
Making Accessible Theatre with Daryl Beeton
You don't have to attend all ten sessions, you can dip in and out, to build a learning experience around your individual needs and interests.

Subscribe to The Make
And, whilst you’re here, can I also tempt you to subscribe to The Make? The Make is Good Creator’s quarterly newsletter, full of expert advice, tips and inspiration from our community, as well as the latest news about the latest offerings from Good Creator.
I’m excited to see Good Creator test its wings and take flight, but I’ll also be continuing with my independent writing, producing and consultancy work too because I love it so much. The two aspects are very much interlinked because I’ve built them to compliment and support each other, and that’s what Good Creator is all about - supporting artists and creatives to build a scaleable career that works for you and your lifestyle and circumstances.
